Sudan 1000: The Count So Far

So the last few posts bring us up to speed with the extent of the Sudan 1000 Figure project completed so far.
I’ve completed a few more units recently and bought the final bits and pieces – I think.
So probably time to re cap the count.
Ansar
Hadendowa: Spears = 180, Camelry = 42, Foot Command = 4, Mounted Command = 6. Total = 232
Beja: Spears = 90, Rifles = 90, Camelry = 42, Mounted Command = 8, Artillery = 4, Artillery Crew = 12. Skirmishers = 30 Total = 276
‘Nile Tribes’ (from old stuff, including the Indiana Jones Tribute Band): Spears = 96, Skirmishers = 10, Command = 6. Total = 112
Ansar Total = 716
Anglo-Egyptian
Indian Brigade: Battalions = 72, Skirmishers = 20, Cavalry = 18, Artillery = 2, Artillery Crew = 5, Baggage = 9, Command = 5. Total 131
Other Battalions: Battalions = 72, Skirmishers = 10. Total = 82
Anglo-Egyptian Total = 213
Insane Sudan Project Total = 929
Wow. That’s got a lot more than I thought. I still have three Standard formations of Ansar to complete, at least 70 skirmishers to base, and another 30 skirmishers to complete. As well as three standard units of Baggara cavalry.
And I’ve only really got started on the Brits. There’s still an Infantry brigade to complete – another three units, the camel regiment to do ( 4 mounted and dismounted units), the Brit artillery, mounted infantry, and cavalry.
Not going to be shy of 1000 by any means. How about the Sudan 1500 project?
This is what twenty years of collecting looks like – and the reason I’m single for that matter.
Onwards!
