Painting the ordonnance army from the previous post was getting to be a bit of a chore, so while I pressed on with it, I decided to finish some rebasing Romans for Hail Caesar.
I ended up completely finishing the two 'Latin' (from Rome and its direct territories) legions including the 10th and 13th (above two photos) and the remaining Equites below.
I also realised I had some left over Italeri horse from some project at some time, so based up a small unit (technically the Roman and Cart/Libyan cavalry are all small units in the army list).
And Triarii for both legions got done.
These (s**t) photos really aren't doing these things justice and the Triarii look right mean in with their wreathed, black and blue shields.
This also included basing the last two units of Latin Velites and rebasing the other two onto bigger bases - no individual bases at this scale.
Finally for the Romans, they were in the same box so I based up a small unit of Cretan archers.
And last but not least, a unit of Italeri Gauls was rebased - double based Warband.
While the Ordonnance army is coming along nicely, I want it to be enjoyable to paint, not a chore, so doing things like this at the same time stops the painting from becoming mind numbing.
These last two units were painted years ago by Le Chasseur as I recall, as part of trying to get an army ready for DBM??? I've since bought three units of Newline Design Gauls but they are completely unpainted.
